WhatsApp Business Account: Engaging Content (3)
WhatsApp Channels:
WhatsApp
Channels allow you to send one-way updates to an unlimited audience.
How is it useful? How is it different from WhatsApp Communities?
- Channels let you share images,
videos, text updates, tickers, links, and polls with followers.
- As a channel admin, your
profile name, picture, and phone number remain hidden from followers.
- There’s no limit on
subscribers, but each channel can have only one admin.
- Updates are public and can be
seen by all channel members, even those who haven’t subscribed.
- Channel followers’ privacy is
maintained; they don’t see each other’s numbers. Similarly, admins can’t see
your full phone number or profile name unless they have you saved as a contact.
How to create a WhatsApp Channel?

on your phone and go to the “Updates” tab.
- Create Channel: Tap “More” and
select “Create channel.” Follow the onscreen prompts.

Your Channel: Add a channel name. You can change it later if needed.

description to help potential followers understand your channel’s purpose.

phone or the web to stand out.

channel,” and you’re all set!
How to manage a WhatsApp Channel?
- The
master key of the Channels lies in the hands of Channel Admin. Once you are all
set up, one can invite up to 16 additional channel admins to help manage the
channel.
- Channel admins can control channel details, adjust settings, and create,
modify, or remove channel updates.
